Gravitywho? #14 Evridiki

In this series, I interview the award-winning team of creative geeks, thinkers and grafters, one by one.

Hey Evridiki! Where are you from and how long have you been at Gravitywell?

I’m from Cyprus but have been in the UK for the last 6 years. I’ve been at Gravitywell for just over a month now!

What a beautiful part of the world! Cyprus isn’t bad either. What’s the best thing about working here (so far)?

The people are lovely and the projects are super interesting.

That is the correct answer. Who would be your dream client and what would you like to work on for them?

I don’t have a specific client in mind, but I would really enjoy working for an environmental/green company that would make an actual difference.

I’m sure a few of the team would be with you on that! So, how did you get into software development?

I was always into video games, and enjoyed maths/programming at school so seemed like the ideal to study Computer Science and eventually start working as a software developer.

Oh, me too. Maths was so fun. I loved maths. Couldn’t get enough. What’s your advice for someone wanting to get into development?

Start coding! Practice makes perfect.

It sure does. Tell me, what’s the worst thing about being a developer?

Sitting all day... maybe we should all get standing desks!

Great idea! Perhaps Peloton should release a WFH range. What’s your favourite piece of tech and why?

My phone — because we can literally use it for anything nowadays!

This is very true. Your Hackathon dream destination would be...

Japan!

Love it! Software and sushi. Finally, what’s the best-kept secret in Bristol?

Authentic Italian gelato from Swoon on College Green.

Efkharisto to Evridiki for being interviewed.

Stay tuned for another edition of Gravitywho? ...
