Gravitywell has completed work on the first of a series of educational multimedia modules for the Biology Department of the University of Bath. Aimed at 2nd year students of the Cancer Biology course the interactive modules use animation and slick presentation get the complex information across.
Feedback Success
All students were asked to complete anonymous feedback questionnaires following the module and an overwhelming 90% responded positively to the resource. The biggest advantages were the self-paced learning, use of animations and ‘24/7’ access. The use of graphics and animation also rated highly in the questionnaire.
Result improvement
Results for the 180+ students on the Cancer Biology Module have increased dramatically since last year. These improvements are not simply due to a brighter class either.
Dr. Hejmadi of the University of Bath has written a paper about the success of the project which she hopes will be published shortly.
